Crime: 21 April 2011

A really good end to the week in Maidenhead. NO BURGLARIES IN MAIDENHEAD IN THE LAST 24 HOURS !

We have had 2 burglaries in broad daylight in Central Windsor. One thief disturbed and making off climbing over a garden wall, another seen walking along the road carrying a stolen TV ! We did not receive dozens of calls from the public ! Another in Wraysbury where we have a suspect in mind, but need corroborative evidence to place that person at the scene ! We really need you to phone through things you feel are suspicious ! The person may not be committing crime at that moment – but if your attention is drawn to them, believe your instincts and phone ! tell the PEC you have been instructed to do so by the Watch Administrator here – you are giving us ‘Intelligence’. If you have a problem doing this – I need to know.
We had another Burglary via forced side window in Wraysbury – Items selected and placed in a bag by the front door. The owners returned, disturbing the thief who immediately made off. Nothing stolen. The police have suspects in mind and any small identification intelligence supplied would identify and place one or another suspect, in the right location at the right time ! The old Jigsaw principle. A suspect will deny being in a particular location, at a particular time and we can do nothing to disprove that – unless - we have a report from a member of the public that they saw a man described as X years old, X height, X age, X colour hair etc. – wearing X was seen in a named road at a specific time. That sort of intelligence is absolutely vital as it could also put a suspect, so far not considered, into the frame !!! If in doubt, simply email the date, time, description to me on the intel email:
