Crime:
1 July 2011
A
really good end to the week. Very little crime to report.
If you are currently in a Community Consultation for your Neighbourhood
– please take the time to follow the link in the automatic messages that
are coming out. It only takes a few minutes of your time, but is
invaluable to your Neighbourjhood Action Group who are working to make
your life better. Each Neighbourhood has about 6,000 residents, but the
returns on Survey Monkey are generally just above 100 ! The more detail
your NAG gets back from you, the more they can do on your behalf. They are
showing their commitment to your area by giving up their time – please
support them in return.
CRIME:
BISHAM, COOKHAM, HURLEY, THE WALTHAMS, LITTLEWICK GREEN & KNOWL HILL:
1/7 Friday. Church Road, Cookham Dean. Owner heard noises outside and
found their bike had been stolen.
25/6 / 30/6 Saturday 3.30 p.m. / Thursday 10.50 p.m. Burnt Oak. Burglary
via forced rear downstairs window – jewellery and bank documentation
stolen. As you know jewellery should be
hidden where it would take a thief more than 5 minutes to find. That does
not mean on a dressing table in a jewellery box, or in the bedside
cabinets. By all means have a decoy jewellery box on the dressing table. A
thief will not have the time to sift through it, but will simply pick the
whole thing up and drop it into a pillowcase or a sports bag. Bank
documents – a really difficult issue. Building society books, bank /
credit card statements and utility bills are as valuable to thieves and
must be protected. With 2 utility bills I can start to steal you identity
– set up a bank account for example. These documents must be placed
again somewhere it would take a thief more than 5 minutes to find. You
know your house best !
BOYN HILL, COX GREEN & WOODLANDS PARK:
No crime to report.
RIVERSIDE & BELMONT:
No crime to report.
INNER MAIDENHEAD:
23/6 – 30/6 Lee lane. Roof damaged in an attempt to steal the lead. This
has been a repeat victim, and large tiles had been placed on the roof to
prevent the lead being stolen. No lead stolen, but the roof was damaged.
Eyes and ears if you are out and about – please look up at the skyline
!.
OLDFIELD & BRAY:
No crime to report.
PINKNEYS GREEN & FURZE PLATT:
23/6 – 30/6 Thursday / Thursday. Shifford Crescent battery stolen from a
Ford Transit van.
