Crime: 8 July 2011

I have been informed there have been a string of burglaries in the last 24 hours in Slough specifically targeting Asian homes and very valuable gold wedding jewellery, has been stolen. If you have Asian neighbours, can you please warn them – the thieves may come here – and ask them to take additional security precautions at this time.

I am now off on my summer jaunt to Sicily – last year, I was unable to climb Stromboli on my birthday as planned – it erupted and the island was closed. This year it looks quieter – but I am a year older ! Carrying the champagne up to the top gets harder !!!
