Crime:
29 July 2011
Lead
thefts. These have been increasing over the past couple of weeks and there
were several in Maidenhead and Windsor over the last few days. The thieves
tend to remove the lead and then hide it somewhere in the bushes / woods
etc for collection later. If you walk dogs or have large hedges around
your property can you regularly check them please ? Same for discarded
property after a theft – please see the advice below the Crime Update. I
have been asked to circulate 2 suspicious vehicles in relation to metal
thefts:
Flatbed, Pale coloured cab, no markings on
the side index P68 GOE
Silver VW index V 332 PHJ
Any sightings of these 2 vehicles to the PEC please asap on 0845 8
505 505 together with time, date, location, direction of travel and
descriptions of driver and any passegers.

Just a word of warning for those thinking about buying a motorised scooter
for their kids / grandkids:
Motorised Mini Scooters.
Sergeant Colin Pike has asked me to remind you:
Young children or anyone who rides a motorised scooter, MUST comply with
the Road Traffic Act, if they are ridden on Public Highway.
That means they have to have insurance, tax and wear protective headwear.
It also means they have to be registered with DVLA. Any, that police find
being ridden without conforming will be seized. The only place they can be
ridden without complying, is on PRIVATE land providing they have
permission.
