Crime: 1 August 2011

Not a bad weekend.  Busy from a police perspective.

A date for your diary:
Wednesday 24th August 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The Retirement Fair, Ascot Race Course. For those that have been once or twice over the last few years it has become an annual date in the diary. For anyone over 50 it is an essential date. There will be people there from all the organisations that provide any form of support for people of that age. That includes the Health Trusts, Accountants, etc etc etc. It is not to be missed.

We do have people from outside the area in both Windsor and Maidenhead.

I have received this message from PC Marc Chapman, the NSO for the Rural areas of Maidenhead:

Hi Jeff,

Please could you send an email out through Community Messaging to all land owners to ensure that gates are fully secure and padlocked. It has been noticed recently whilst on patrol that some land is not being secured and open to acquisitive crime to rural locations. By ensuring that land is secure it deters acquisitive rural crime and deters trespassers on land.
