Crime: 17 August 2011 First a message from PCSO Liz Davidson. As we have had so many number plates stolen, Liz has a organised that anyone who receives Ringmaster messages in the Maidenhead area, can simply go along to the Littlewick Green Service Station and have anti theft screws fitted to their number plates - COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE ! It could not be simpler. If you have stick on number plates, they will simply add a non removable screw. Removing the number plate would mean breaking it, making it useless for thieves. WELL DONE LIZ - A BRILLIANT INITIATIVE EVERYONE CAN BENEFIT FROM - I hope they have enough screws ! Next a message from Michelle Simmonds one of our excellent RBWM Community Wardens: Good Morning Jeff, can you put out a reminder for the Family Day on Saturday 3rd September, All saints Church, Dedworth Windsor 2 p.m. / 5 p.m. ? The Mayor and his officer, Fred Simmonds, together with the Household cavalry Operational Causalties Fund are all involved in a fund raising activity with the Community Wardens. It is a family day with a tea, fancy dress optional, the WRVS are turning up in WW2 uniform to serve the tea, RAFA are providing a shove halfpenny table and table skittles, we have John Lloyd and a couple of the chaps coming from the Household Cavalry Museum to bring along uniforms and other memorabilia. Tescos, Medina Dairies and The Cake Maker from Maidenhead are providing food tea and coffee. There will be a prize for the best dressed and a Raffle. We have representatives from the ROCA, the Naval Association. I am sure before the day we will have other entertainment to involve all ages. We are awaiting a reply from the cadets, in Windsor The day is in aid of the Household Cavalry Operational Casualties Fund and it is a joint project between the Mayors Office and the Community Wardens. We have Fingers Fred on the Keyboard (Aka Fred Simmonds the Mayors Officer) If people can come along and support us on the day it would be appreciated. All are welcome but we would need people to ring and book as we need to know numbers for the catering. or email michelle.simmonds@rbwm.gov.uk for further information.
