A request for any sightings of the following car please from Inspector Graham Enright, who heads up our Local CID Team:
Please keep your eyes peeled for a Black or dark coloured Audi A5 sports car bearing the registration number A 9 AKS. This car was seen in suspicious circumstances in and around Maidenhead yesterday.
We believe the occupants may be responsible for a series of offences where jewellery was stolen in Burglaries. At the time the vehicle contained a number of male occupants. Please report any sighting immediately to the police using 999 if you see it driving around – location, direction descriptions and number of occupants and the 101 number if it is parked up anywhere, asking for the information to be sent to the RBWM local CID Team.

12/3 Monday 3.45 p.m. / 530 p.m. Church Hill, White Waltham. Garage door forced – bike stolen. There was a suspicious incidents shortly before the theft was discovered. 2 men drove up in an old dirty white car with dents in the passenger front wing. Both men had shaven heads. They asked the aggrieved if he had seen their Jack Russell Terrier which had escaped. They replied no, but asked for a telephone number in case they did find it. The man in the car was unwilling to give a number and said it was on the dogs collar. When asked if it was a dog, or bitch, the man didn’t seem to know and drove off.
13/3 Tuesday 3 a.m. Milley Road, Waltham St lawrence. Burglary - concrete flower pot thrown through rear patio door. Black berry and briefcase picked up before the thief was chased from the property by the owner. The briefcase was discarded nearby.

12/3 Monday 7.15 a.m. / 4.10 p.m. Lexington Avenue. Burglary – via forced rear kitchen door – glass panel smashed – gold jewellery stolen.
12/3 Monday 2.45 p.m. / 3.10 p.m. Clare Road. Burglary. The owner received a silent call just before going out. When they returned, they found the kitchen door had been forced – a glass panel smashed – 2nd time in a month – nothing stolen.
12/3 Monday 9 a.m. / noon. Altwood Bailey. House being renovated. Sinks, taps and other metal stolen.

12/3 Monday 9 a.m. / 3.45 p.m. Australia Avenue. Burglary – via forced conservatory door – once inside tried to force internal doors, nut no entry gained.

12/3 1.35 p.m. Edinburgh Road. 3 offenders went up the front door of a house after watching the owner leave. They knocked on the door then tried to force it. Fortunately the husband was still at home and shouted at the offenders who immediately made off in the black Audi mentioned above. The three men are believed to be white, one with curly hair. The driver of the waiting car may be oriental in appearance with short brown hair.
12/3 Monday 2 p.m. / 2.45 p.m. Halifax Road. Burglary – entry via insecure side gate to rear garden where the offenders forced the rear door. House searched – Gold jewellery stolen.
