Crime: 11 June 2012

Hi everyone – I am back in one piece, 3 volcanoes climbed.  The lava explosions on Stromboli , were spectacular.  Real pasta and seafood, caught that day, eaten every night – with of course the appropriate local wine, made from grapes grown within a mile of which ever town I was in. The weather was perfect as well !  What more could you ask for.  Sicily at this time of year is green and multi coloured.  The whole island is covered with broom in full bright yellow flower and the heady perfume is everywhere, mixing with the various jasmines, stephanotis, gardenias and of course lemon and orange blossom.  Now it is back to work !

There have been a fair number of lead thefts right across the Borough over the weekend.  In one road in Windsor , 3 neighbouring houses had lead stripped from their roofs.  This should not happen, if everyone is being observant !!!  In Old Windsor lead was stripped from a roof and placed in a wheelie bin, to take it away to a waiting car.  Please report all flatbeds / vans, driving slowly up and down roads in your neighbourhood – particularly in the early hours !  If you cannot get the index, phone through a description of the vehicle and its direction of travel.  Let us make the decision as to whether or not the information is suspicious / relevant.  You may not be aware, but we may have received reports of crimes nearby !!!  If in doubt – RING 101.
