I try not to do a message every day, in case you become overloaded, but I was specifically asked at this mornings briefing, to put one out.

 

We have people from outside the area circulating, looking for somewhere to park up.  If you have a rural property / field etc., can you make sure the entrance is properly secured at this time.

 

Secondly, I mentioned Deb Beasley’s Volunteering day yesterday, but attached the wrong poster – the correct one it attached today.

12/6 – 14/6  Tuesday / Thursday  Altwood Road .  Shed break.  The hinges had been unscrewed – 3 bikes stolen.  That would never happen to any of us !  We have all changed the screws to ‘Non Return Screws’ / ‘Tamper Proof Screws’.  The groove in the screw head, has been chamfered on one side, to prevent removal – just like the locking nuts on alloy wheels.

13/6 – 14/6  Wednesday 9.30 p.m. / Thursday 8.15 a.m.   Sawyers Close.  A car has been vandalised using food !  Bread and butter has been smeared along the sides, carrots inserted into the allow wheels and writing placed on the car with tomato sauce.  Did you see anything ?

13/6  Wednesday 12.45 p.m. / 1.15 p.m.   Knowlsley Close.  Burglary.  Rear dining room window forced – house searched specifically for gold jewellery, which was stolen.  Many other valuable items ignored.  Can anyone who has small or large quantities of valuable gold jewellery in their homes, be specifically on the alert, for any suspicious behaviour in their roads.  Thieves are trying to identify possible houses containing gold jewellery and then targeting them.  If you own gold jewellery, please do not keep it in your home at this time.
