Crime: 9 July 2012

First my thanks to all those that have confirmed the Olympic Torch scam – was a scam.  It does not exist.  Unfortunately someone got me, just as I was leaving the office on Friday and as I said, I did not have time to check it out.  Usually I go to the Scambuster website, before sending anything out, but this time, I didn’t have time. The advice from Paul Hay, my volunteer IT Consultant:

Jeff,

Just let everyone know that anything that says pass it on, should not be.

Regards,
Paul

The blue Landrover I reported driving through the gates in the Great park was found dumped and burnt out in Datchet at the end of last week.

In response to my list of events for young people in the Borough, I have received this from Paul Loudon:

Maidenhead Hockey Club has a camp running pre Olympics at Altwood School for inexperienced, as well as experienced children, aged between 8 – 14.  Sticks can be provided but kids will need shin guards at least and a gum shield, is recommended.  It runs from the 23rd July every day – all week.  2 sessions per day £3 per session.  All the coaches are fully qualified and CRB checked.

If anyone is interested – can they contact me on loudon@btinternet.com

Paul.
