Crime: 13 July 2012

Just to let you know, I am off again to Sicily for a week – not Volcanoes this time - but an opera festival !  The Trilogia Verdiana - Rigoletto , Il Trovatore and La Traviata.  It could not be missed !

Just by the way, something from Ascot that applies everywhere:

11/7  Wednesday 7.45 a.m. / 8.20 a.m.   Shrubbs Hill Lane .  Whacker plate which was chained to a vehicle, stolen.  Chain ground off.  A witness saw a lorry at about 8 a.m. with a lifting crane on the back, trying to break the chain.  They then loaded the wacker plate.  The 2 men are described as:

1.   The man operating the crane - mid 30

2.   The man on the roadside – early teens, short fair hair, small build – WEARING A REFLECTIVE JACKET.

JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE IS WEARING A REFLECTIVE JACKET, DOESN’T MEAN THEY ARE AUTHORISED TO DO WHATEVER THEY ARE DOING !

This would have been a perfect time for ‘JUST IN CASE’ a photo on a mobile phone ????  It was certainly a call to the police, when one of the men was seen trying to break the chain !

I include the link to your Neighbourhood page under the group email address for your Neighbourhood.  Click on the link to follow your 3 local priorities and see photos of your local team.  The last months updates with meeting dates etc have just gone up.

I now have a photo from the Chefs Course organised by Betty Marlow the NAG Chair for Datchet, Horton & Wraysbury and her PCSO Les Bradfield.  This project can of course be run anywhere, now that the resource pack has been put together.  Betty is going to carry out a full evaluation, but from the quality of food that was produced by the young chefs and their obvious enjoyment and commitment to the project, that looks like being a foregone conclusion !  All that is needed to run such a course for ‘challenged young people’, is a CRB checked chef / s, who want to participate, and somewhere with suitable cooking facilities…….There must be suitable chefs out there, along with suitable venues ???
