A note about opening times at Maidenhead Police Station:

Thames Valley Police has announced the new opening hours of its front counters in Windsor and Maidenhead, following a review of counter services across the Force.

Supt David Gilbert, A/Commander of Windsor and Maidenhead local police area, said: “The good news is that we will not be closing any front counters, in line with our commitment to maintain a local presence in our communities.

T here will be no changes to the opening times in Maidenhead.

I want to reassure the community that this is not about removing officers from our streets. The visibility and availability of police officers to attend incidents is not affected by front counter opening times. Your neighbourhood teams will still be out patrolling the same areas they do now and will retain their local bases.

“It is also important people are clear that this does not affect emergency response teams in Windsor and Maidenhead, which are separate from neighbourhood teams. They remain on patrol 24-hours-a-day across the borough and will continue to operate as normal.

We know that the role of counter services is much valued by the public, and we have worked hard to maintain a high level of service provision in the face of substantial budget cuts across the whole of Thames Valley Police. The new opening hours were drawn up after an analysis of demand and extensive consultation with staff, partner agencies and the general public.”

As well as visiting a police station front counter, there are a number of other ways to contact your local police, which many people may find easier and more convenient.

The number for non-emergency calls and routine enquiries is – 101 –. The emergency number is as always 999.

A MESSAGE FROM ONE OF OUR MEMBERS – A DATE FOR YOUR DIARY:

Hi Jeff

I hope this email finds you well?

Wondering if you are able to help Clara Court again with some advertising through your network of households within the Borough??

We are teaming up with ‘Home Instead’ on a forthcoming awareness and recruitment day on Thursday 13th September from 4-8pm to be held at Clara Court .

The plan is that we would like to get a number of key information sources i.e. The Alzheimer’s society, Stroke association, Safeguarding team, O/T’s etc to attend to provide advice and guidance to carers. We also want to reach out to members of the community who maybe are seeking employment and may want the opportunity to find out more about becoming a carer within the two establishments.

Anyone wishing to apply for positions would have the opportunity to do this there and then with a confirmed date for interview.

It would be really great if you could help.

Please feel free to contact me at anytime to discuss further

Kind Regards

Lisa
