Crime: 8 August 2012

FIRST A REMINDER ABOUT NOT LEAVING MOBILE PHONES ON THE TABLE WHILST YOU ARE IN A CAFÉ / RESTAURANT HAVING LUNCH.  Several have gone this week !  Someone comes up, spreads something like a map / postcards over the table and asks for directions – whatever.  When they gather the papers back up – your phone goes with them !!!

We have recovered a red motorised Trike, which we believe to have been stolen, but cannot find a report of a similar vehicle going missing.  I have attached a photo of a similar Trike.  If you know of anyone who has lost one – we need to know asap.

Next another reminder for the Retirement Fair in Ascot on the 15th August:

Hi Jeff,

I wonder if you would be kind enough to give the Retirement Fair a couple of reminders on Thames valley Alert, between now and the 15th August when the Fair takes place in the Grandstand at Ascot Racecourse. Sgt Rob Dalton and the Police Cadets will be helping in a number of ways on the day, which will be helpful to us. I would also appreciate you including a link to our web site.  The web link is http://www.ascotretirementfair.com/

We have put banners up in Windsor Maidenhead, Bracknell Ascot & Sunningdale and have delivered posters and flyers to shops across the whole area. This year we will have 130 exhibitors with lots of demonstrations and interesting thinks to see, as well as a lot of invaluable information.

Thanks for your help.

David.

Another date for your diary:

Hi Jeff

I hope this email finds you well?

Wondering if you are able to help Clara Court again with some advertising through your network of households within the Borough ?

We are teaming up with ‘Home Instead’ on a forthcoming awareness and recruitment day on Thursday 13th September from 4-8pm to be held at Clara Court .

We would like to get a number of key information sources i.e. The Alzheimer’s society, Stroke association, Safeguarding team, O/T’s etc to attend to provide advice and guidance to carers. We also want to reach out to members of the community, who maybe are seeking employment and may want the opportunity to find out more about becoming a carer, within the two establishments.

Anyone wishing to apply for positions, would have the opportunity to do this at the event.

It would be really great if you could help, and I look forward to hearing from you soon

Kind Regards

Lisa

I have this morning put out a crime report to Ascot .  How would you have dealt with this situation ?  Would you immediately have picked up the phone to the police ???

6/8  Monday 2 a.m.   Block of flats.  Lead stolen from the communal porch.  They may have been disturbed as several items were left behind.  Whilst doing House to House enquiries, the police received a report of a light coloured pick up truck, driving slowly down the road at 1 a.m. heading towards the re-cycling site.  It then reversed back out and drive towards the London Road / High Street.  The witness remembers it because it had a search light on the top of the cabin which was on !!!!  Again – any activity like this should have been an immediate call to the police.  Anyone driving up and down roads slowly in a pick up with a searchlight on the top looking up and down driveways during the early hours !!!!!
