BISHAM, COOKHAM, HURLEY, THE WALTHAMS, LITTLEWICK GREEN & KNOWL HILL:

13/1  Sunday   Midnight / 10 a.m.  Southwood Road, Cookham Rise.  Burglary.  The owners returned home late and went straight to bed.  The patio doors may have been left INSECURE.  In the night they heard the door open and went and closed it, thinking nothing of it.  The next day a neighbour came to hand back a wallet found in their garden.  A laptop was also stolen.

13/1  Sunday 0.30 a.m. / 8 a.m.  Lyndhurst Avenue, Cookham Rise.  Burglary.  The owner secured the house and went to bed.  In the morning they found slight damage to the front door and internal doors opened.  Games Consoles X 3 and games, laptops X 4, IPhones X 2, IPOD Nano, handbag and contents, camera, car DVD screens and consoles X 3 stolen.

11/1  Friday 3.20 p.m. / 4.05 p.m.  Restaurant / Pub, High Street, Cookham.  Car rear driver’s window forced.  IPAD STOLEN FROM THE REAR SEAT.

11/12  Friday midnight / noon.  Stone House Lane, Cookham.  Shed break.  Strimmer and lawn mower stolen.  A chain saw was placed by the door to go, but was left behind.

13/1 – 14/1  Sunday 4.30 p.m. / Monday 7.15 a.m.  Shepherds Close, Hurley.  Front and rear index plates stolen.

13/1  Sunday 11.15 p.m. / Midnight.  Primary School, Bath Road, Knowl Hill.  Rear door forced.  Thieves made their way to the office carried out an untidy search and attempted to open the safe.  Repeat victim from the previous weekend, when notebooks were stolen.

14/1  Monday 1.22 a.m.  Pub, Boyn Hill Road.  Alarm sounded and the owner called – window forced and left open – fruit machines attacked and cash from inside stolen.  Possibly connected to the jobs I reported last week.  If you know of anyone that has fruit machines in their premises, to be alert for the foreseeable future.

13/1  Sunday midnight / 1.30 p.m.  Boyn Valley Road.  Attempted burglary.  2 marks found on a door frame.  No entry gained.

12/1 – 13/1  Saturday 8 p.m. / Sunday 8 p.m. / 9 a.m.  Altwood Road.  Car windscreen smashed possibly happened at 5 a.m.  Apparently the person ran over this car denting the bonnet and roof, kicking in the windscreenas well as doing the same to several others.

13/1  Sunday 4 a.m. / 6 a.m.  Altwood Road.  Someone has run over the car denting the bonnet and roof, kicking in the windscreen.

12/1 – 13/1  Saturday 8 p.m. / Sunday 8 p.m. / 9 a.m.  Grenfell Park, Grenfell Road.  Someone has run over a car and kicked in the windscreen.

12/1 – 13/1  Saturday 6.30 p.m. / Sunday 8.30 a.m.  School, Altwood Road.  Windows to gymnasium smashed.

13/1  Sunday 10 a.m. / 2.15 p.m.  Breadcroft Lane.  Burglary.  First attempt through a window was unsuccessful, so they forced a door.  Several rooms searched – electrical items stolen, but still being ascertained at this time.

14/1  Monday  2.25 a.m.  White Paddock, Woodlands Park.  A witness heard a noise and looked out.  They saw a man opening a garage door in the garage block with a spade.  They shone a light at the man who immediately made off.  The dog unit was called but no-one was traced.  Not yet known if anything was stolen.

11/1  Friday  4.30 p.m. / 5 p.m.  Australia Avenue.  Car and the car parked next to it, both keyed.

7/1 – 12/1  Lonsdale Close.  Burglary.  Rear patio door forced open.  Search of whole house.  Thieves had moved items in an adjoining garden to climb over the rear fence.  The padlock on the shed was damaged and there were several attempts to force rear windows open before they smashed the glass in the rear patio door.  The thieves then turned on the lights and drew the curtains, placing items in a pillow case and a wheelie bag.  The thieves then left by climbing back over the rear fence !  Laptops X 2 and jewellery stolen.

14/1  Monday 12.30 p.m.  Burleigh Court, Kings Quarter.  Burglary via forced front door.  The owner was at home who disturbed the offender who immediately made off, down the hall towards the stairs.  Nothing stolen.

10/1  Thursday 9.15 p.m.  Old Mill Lane, Bray.  The owners of a car parked outside, was sitting in a restaurant having dinner, when they were informed their car had been broken into.  The passenger window had been smashed and an IPhone and charger stolen.  A member of staff was outside, heard the window smash, and chased after a suspect, who jumped into a waiting white van and drove off.  The member of staff gave a description and a white van matching the description and acting suspiciously was seen later by police in the Bucks area. It made off from officers but they stopped it and detained the occupants on suspicion of theft. They have both been released on police bail while investigations continue.

13/1  Sunday 4.30 p.m.  Ludlow Road.  Attempt to take a manhole cover, but did manage to steal one.

12/1 – 13/1  Saturday 10.15 a.m. / Sunday 1.30 p.m.  Shoppenhangers Road.  Someone has run over the car denting the bonnet and roof, kicking in the windscreen.

9/1 – 11/1  Wednesday 5.30 p.m. / Friday 11.40 a.m.  Phoenix Court, Norrey’s Drive.  Van broken into and tools stolen.

11/1  Friday  6 p.m. / 10.30 p.m.  Pub, High Street, Bray.  Car window smashed – laptops X 2 stolen.

13/1  Sunday 3.42 a.m.  Gloucester Road.  Burglary  The owner heard a noise and went to investigate, thinking it was her daughter returning.  She found the front door wide open. She disturbed someone who immediately made off running through the front door, carrying 2 bags of stolen property.  The door had been physically forced open.  The dog team attended immediately and some items were recovered.  The offender ran off towards the Cookham Road.
