Crime:
19 April 2013 RURAL
CRIME Thames
Valley Police will be putting more resources into rural crime and consider
the effects it has, on our rural communities.
I have already set up a new database for CountryWatch and I am
having my volunteer Tom, check the police computers for all rural
properties that have suffered a higher than average level of crime.
We will then look at those properties and discuss them with Mrs.
Chalmers, who may come out to do a full security survey.
If you think you are one of these rural properties at risk – you
could be a farm, stable, equestrian centre, hotel / office complex with
grounds, golf course, whatever, email me at my email below.
I will put you in contact with Anne / your local Neighbourhood Team
immediately, to sort out any security / crime problems you may have.
We will work together on any issues you may have.
Lamping, hare coursing and hunting with dogs has been mentioned at
the rural crime meetings. Often
these incidents are not reported to us, if they are, it is sometimes after
it has taken place. That is
absolutely fine we want to know it has happened, but if you become aware
that such things are happening, we need to know immediately.
