Crime: 7 June 2013

First a warning:

External spare wheels are really being targeted and stolen at the moment – 4 went from Legoland yesterday and several more over the last week.  If you have a car with an external spare wheel under the car, please consider where you are parking and park as visibly as possible, so that a thief might be spotted.  Consider backing into spaces and parking as close to walls as possible, so that the rear of your car is as difficult to access as possible.  Devices are available from car dealers to prevent this happening, but they are expensive.

Re the missing tortoise:

Hi Jeff ,

Many thanks for your speed and reaction to this.  It would help if I, who tends to do things at a million miles an hour, had put my phone number on correctly !

Are you able to change the body of the mail and/or resend with 07962 649538 please. The wrong number is on all of my posters!!!!! Fool that I am!

I am so sorry!

Thanks again and regards

Stephen

I had another thought about the tortoise !  Items like this should be postcoded on the shell !!!  Cats and dogs of course, should all be chipped !

A reminder to always take up references !  It also covers what to do, if you receive credit letters for someone else, at your home:

Hi Jeff,
Another word re security, especially if you rent out a spare room.  Please, check all references.  It is really a must, as I was a victim of Address Fraud.  The person used my address, to obtain credit from various companies.  I phoned them and wrote to them, with proof that I was the owner of my address, but this took some doing.

I then contacted www.action.fraud  and reported this and sent them copies of every letter I had written as evidence.

This is a very good website, if anyone encounters any problems
