Crime: 6 July 2013

We had a mobile phone stolen yesterday, from a coffee table in a restaurant in Sunningdale.  It happens all the time in the coffee shops in Windsor.  It could be a map with someone asking for directions, it could be postcards, or birthday cards.  In each case, it is the same – a mobile phone left on the table, is covered and then collected up.  It is the more expensive iPhones, Galaxies and Blackberries that are targeted, as these can easily be identified from a distance, sitting on a table.

If you pass a restaurant / coffee shop and you can see someone with a mobile left on display, can you – please – make contact with a member of staff, to go up to them and remind them to put the phone away.

This is a crime attractor – bringing Opportunist Thieves into our neighbourhoods.

I am attempting to use the Alert Software to format the messages back to the way we all like them.  I hope it is working.

At the moment, when they arrive in my Outlook inbox, I cannot print them out, nor forward them to anyone.  Are you having the same problem ?  If so – I need to know.

We have recovered 5 rucksacks, which were dumped in a domestic bin in Boyn Hill Avenue.  They all appear to be full of sports gear – possibly rugby ?  None have been reported stolen ?  Do you know of any that have gone missing ??
