WHAT YOU CAN DO

You can do several things immediately:

·         Email David Burbage, leader of the RBWM Council (cllr.burbage@rbwm.gov.uk ), express your views about the situation – in your own words.  Ask Mr Burbage if he is planning to attend the public meeting at 7.30pm at Moor Hall, Cookham on Tuesday 16th March (we need him there because Theresa May MP is unable to attend.)  Ask Mr Burbage to ensure that Councillor Quick, Director of Childrens’ service attends.

·         Email the 3 Borough Councillors, John Stretton (cllr.stretton@rbwm.gov.uk ), Michael-John Saunders ( mj@cookhamdean.org.uk) and Richard Kellaway ( cllr.kellaway@rbwm.gov.uk )to confirm they will attend the public meeting on 16th March.  Express your views.  Tell them about your individual situation.  Use your own words.

·         Email Theresa May MP ( mayt@parliament.uk ) and tell the situation confronting you and your child in September 2010.  Again, use your own words!  Ask her to attend the meeting on 16th March.

·         Write to The Editor at Maidenhead Advertiser: martint@baylismedia.co.uk telling him your circumstances and raises key questions such as those on the discussion forum on the www.cookham.com website.

·         Get your children to write to all of the above.

·         Come to the Maidenhead Advertiser photo call at 3.30pm tomorrow, Tuesday 8th March at the Alfred Major ground.

·         Tell Year 5 parents in your school that because the consultation process for 2011 Secondary School entries closed on 28th February 2010, they will find themselves in exactly the same situation Year 6 parents are in at the moment.
