Minutes of an Extra-Ordinary Meeting of the

 COOKHAM PARISH COUNCIL

PRESENT:            Cllr H. J. Woodbridge (Chairman); M. Wellman (Vice Chairman).

Cllrs. M. Barnes, P. Brockwell, M. Coker, M. Innes, G. Harris, R. Piercey, A. Prichard and S. Saintclair-Abbott.

1.      APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE AND DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST:

Apologies for absence were received from Cllrs M. Brar, A. Hay, S. Fairlie, D. Ricardo and J. Stretton. There were no declarations of interest.

2.      APPROVAL OF AUDITED ACCOUNTS FOR THE YEAR 2003-2004:

The changes were detailed by the Chairman of the Finance and General Purposes Committee at a meeting earlier this evening. The Clerk noted that an error had appeared on Page 4 and should read “Balance as at 1^st April 2004” rather than 2003. Cllr Saintclair-Abbott queried the depreciation of the Parish assets on the Fixed Asset Register and was told that they were valued at cost. Cllr Harris and Cllr Coker asked whether the insurance was new for old in order to show the depreciating value on the Register. The Clerk said that depreciation of Parish assets had been mentioned by our internal auditor Mr Mike Singh and would be looked in to for the next financial year. Cllr M. Innes proposed that the Council accept these accounts in order to send them off to the external auditors, Hacker Young. This was seconded by Cllr Saintclair-Abbott.
