COOKHAM PARISH COUNCIL Minutes of a Meeting of the COOKHAM PARISH COUNCIL Held in the Community Room on Tuesday, 7th June 2005, after the Planning Meeting, at 8.20pm. PRESENT: Cllr H. J. Woodbridge (Chairman); M. Wellman (Vice Chairman). Cllrs. M. Barnes, M. Brar, P. Brockwell, M. Coker, S. Fairlie, G. Harris, M. Innes, R. Piercey, D. Ricardo. In attendance: Andrew Streat (Maidenhead Advertiser) and M. Cubley (RBWM). 1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE AND DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST: Apologies for absence were received from Cllrs Hay, Prichard and Stretton. There were no Declarations of Interest.
2. APPROVAL ON MINUTES: The Minutes of the Council Meeting held on the 3rd May 2005 were agreed and signed as a correct record with several amendments. On Page 071, it was agreed that the minutes were a true representation of what was said at the meeting, however it was also agreed to note that Cllr Saintclair-Abbott did not visit the CCTV cameras because he was held up by the trains. On Page 071, Cllr Wellman asked for the word “allocated” to be included after £28k on line 2, item 8 and £18k on line3, item 8. Plus these words were to be included – “Although only £3724 and ££2447 had been approved.” The Minutes of the Annual General Meeting, the Extra Ordinary Meeting were approved with no amendments. 3. COMMITTEE REPORTS: The Minutes of the Footpaths and Open Spaces Committee meeting held on 24th May 2005 were circulated and duly approved with no amendments.
4. REPORTS FROM OUTSIDE BODIES: 1. Cllr Brar attended a DALC meeting and gave a short report. 2. Cllr S. Fairlie went to a meeting of the Patients Participation Group. 3. Cllr M. Innes went to a meeting of Pinder Hall Management Committee. 4. Cllr G. Harris attended a progress meeting at Lullebrook Bridge. Cllr Ricardo also attended. 5. Cllr M. Coker attended several meetings of Cookham Rise Primary School including their school fair. 5. QUESTIONS UNDER STANDING ORDERS 24/26: There were no Questions asked. 6. FINANCE: The list of cheques raised in the month of June as listed on Page 091 were approved on the proposition of Cllr M. Wellman and seconded by Cllr H. J. Woodbridge. Cllr Barnes queried the term of the Computer Support Contract with RBWM. 7. BOROUGH COUNCILLORS’ REPORT: Cllr Brar reported on her visit to see the control room of the CCTV cameras. She said that the camera nearest the war memorial end of the High Street does not show anything at night. She is presently doing some research and will talk to Dave Perkins about the possibility of putting infra red lights in to the cameras. Cllr Wellman said that in the feasibility study the cameras were stated as fibre optic and not infra red. Cllr Ricardo reported that he had attended the new lay by at Cookham Lock along with Cllrs Barnes, Prichard and Brockwell. 8. TO REVIEW AND PRIORITISE THE LIST OF PROJECTS FOR 106 MONIES: The Clerk gave details of the facts gleaned during several meetings throughout the month to discuss 106 monies. Cllr Wellman said that he was still not sure how it works and how to get Parish Projects approved. He said that it may be better to go for smaller projects where we know there is money in the funds to cover it. After much discussion it was agreed to include the following projects on our list submitted to RBWM: · New paths of Cookham Cemetery. · Fence around Cookham Rise Allts. · Wire fence around Sutton Allotment to control rabbits. · Wire fence around Cookham Dean Allotments to control rabbits. · SID device for Cookham Bridge. · Skateboard park at some point in the Parish · Tennis Courts The Astroturf and CCTV cameras for the Alfred Major would be taken off the list for 106 monies but would be pursued by other means. Councillors were asked to let the Clerk know of any other projects before 14th July. 9. CHAIRMAN’S SUBMISSIONS: The Chairman mentioned the launch of Marlow Archeological Society and a dig around Holy Trinity Church. The other Chairman’s submissions were mislaid by the Clerk and would be sent out with the next agenda. 10.
CORRESPONDENCE: A list of correspondence and periodicals received during the month of May was circulated with the agenda. These were available in the Parish Office for Councillors’ perusal. The Meeting closed at 9.25pm. |
