Minutes of an Extra-Ordinary Meeting of the

 COOKHAM PARISH COUNCIL 

PRESENT:            Cllr H. J. Woodbridge (Chairman); M. Wellman (Vice Chairman).

Cllrs. M. Barnes, M. Brar, P. Brockwell, M. Coker, G. Harris, M. Innes, R. Piercey,

A. Prichard, D. Ricardo, S. Saintclair-Abbott and J. Stretton.

APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE AND DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST:

Apologies were received from Cllr Fairlie. There were no Declarations of Interest.

1.      TO CO-OPT A MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC TO FILL THE VACANT SEAT ON THE PARISH COUNCIL:

The Clerk announced that there were two candidates for the seat, Mrs Jean Stretton and Mr D. Fry. It was proposed by Cllr Prichard and seconded by Cllr Stretton to ask the members of the council to invoke Standing Order 9. (Part 2), page 13 to conduct their votes by signed ballot. The Clerk handed out the Voting Papers and then read out a brief note from each of the candidates.

The Clerk counted the votes and these were checked by Mrs J. (name to be confirmed). Mr Derek Fry won the seat by 9 votes to 4.

The Meeting closed at 8.45pm
