OPEN FORUM – Mr Gordon Harris spoke from the gallery to ask why the flood signs had been removed from the Stanley Spencer Gallery and not placed elsewhere in the village. Cllr Ricardo said that the Environment Agency took down the signs to allow for the renovation of the Gallery. The signs will not be positioned elsewhere because the EA considered that everyone at risk of flooding was on the Floodline telephone number and would receive automated messages. Cllr Wellman said that Floodline would not help the visitors to Cookham who also needed to be warned of these risks.
