COOKHAM PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of a Meeting of the EMERGENCY COMMITTEE held at the

Parish Office on Thursday, 19th April 2007 commencing at 11.00am

PRESENT:                   Cllrs D. Fry, G. Harris, M. Innes, M.Wellman.

IN ATTENDANCE:   Mr Richard Campin

_________________________________________________________________________

This was an extraordinary emergency meeting to make a decision on an application for “Agricultural Determination”. The Parish Council should have responded to this application within 14 days but this item came in during the Clerk’s leave and was not noted to have a short reply date. When the Clerk discovered the late date she received special permission to get comments back to the Case Officer within the next 2 days. The Clerk contacted any Councillors available for this meeting – and will do so for any other emergency meetings until a new Emergency Committee can be formed after the Elections.

OPEN FORUM

Mr Campin spoke to confirm that he had only just been notified of this planning application despite being heavily involved with his neighbour’s activities and had involved his own solicitors. Mr Campin spoke of his difficulty with this application being an “Agricultural Determination” when the main activity of Hardings Farm involved equestrian pursuits. The application refers to a barn which has been clad leaving windows and a doorway. The property is adjacent to Conservation area and National Trust land. Mr Campin would like to see a proper planning application submitted by his neighbour for the cladding of this barn.

1.                  APOLOGIES AND DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST: Apologies were received from Cllrs Barnes, Brar and Woodbridge. There were no Declarations of Interest.

Application to clad side of barn. (Agricultural Determination)

HARDINGS FARM, Hardings Green, Cookham Dean.

Mr Peter Richards

OBJECTION – Cookham Parish Council would like to see a full planning application submitted. Three reasons: barn has history of applications; strong opposition from neighbours and adjacent to Conservation area.

VOTE: IN FAVOUR - UNANIMOUS
