3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM THE PLANNING MEETINGS HELD ON 2ND AND 23RD SEPTEMBER 2008: The Minutes of the Planning Meetings held on 2nd and 23rd September 2008 were circulated and approved with no amendments. 4. TO DISCUSS THE IMPLICATIONS OF ELECTRONIC PLANNING WITHIN TWO YEARS: The Clerk had spoken with Bob Wardle, the Clerk to Bisham Parish Council, and he had revealed that RBWM would dispense with paper plans in approx. two years time. The options facing Cookham Parish Council, in common with many other Councils, is whether we wish to print off plans using a larger printer or whether the Councillors are happy to view plans on computer screens. Cllr Ricardo said that this would make it more difficult for the neighbours to object. Cllr Coker seemed to favour the A3 printer route so that the Parish Council could copy plans for residents. It was pointed out that there are strict rules on copying plans for neighbours but we could print out and keep in the Parish Office for residents and Councillors to view. Bob Wardle had requested this topic as an agenda item for the next Parish Conference on 16th October. It was AGREED to include this item on the agenda of the next Finance and General Purposes Committee, which would be held after the Parish Conference. The meeting closed at 8.22pm. |
