Map 1 concentrated on houses where gardens are likely to flood 1/20 years. Map 2 was for houses on a dry island – mainly in Cookham Village. Map 3 was for commercial properties. Ownership of the Causeway at this time is still not confirmed although David Oram of RBWM has stated that the Causeway is the property of the National Trust. The Chairman thanked David Ricardo for all his hard work. 1. APOLOGIES AND DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST: Apologies were received from Cllr Barnes. Cllrs Wellman and Brar declared a personal interest in Pln Appns 08/02899 and 08/92820. Cllr Kellaway declared a personal interest in Pln Appn 08/02772. Cllr John Stretton declared an interest as a member of the MDC panel and reserved the right to change his mind at a later stage. 2. PLANS CONSIDERED & DISCUSSED:
3. RESPONSE TO THE “BUILDING SCHOOLS FOR THE FUTURE” CONSULTATION: There was some debate about whether there was merit in responding collectively to this Consultation. Cllr Wellman, Chair of the Consultation Committee, said that the members of his Committee were not able to answer these questions with any personal knowledge as none had school children of that age. The Councillors were split between those that felt the questions should be answered from a personal view and those that felt Cookham Parish Council should produce a collective response. It was AGREED that the Clerk would provide a response from the Parish Council and the individual replies would be forwarded at the same time. The draft would be on the agenda of the Full Council meeting in January. The
meeting closed at 8.20pm.
