L. Kellaway, D. Ricardo, Jean Stretton, John Stretton and M. Wellman. Also
present: Five
members of the public and Sonia Kapur (Maidenhead Advertiser) _________________________________________________________________________ OPEN FORUM: The Chairman welcomed the visitors to the meeting. Alan and Claire spoke of their concerns on Pln Appn 09/00203. They live next door and showed the Council some photos to highlight the close proximity of their neighbours’ property. The proposed extension is very large and would be close enough to touch at arm’s length. The extension would also block out their light and invade their privacy. They said that some of the windows on the new extension would break the 45 degree limit and they were hopeful that their neighbours would re-think this extension in the event of a refusal.
Mr Alan Jay then spoke to query the number of plans on the cookham.com web site. He said at present there is the original Cookham Plan working group submissions; the revised Traffic and Transport Working Group Plan; the Cookham Healthcheck; the proposals for the forthcoming Village Design Statement and a Strategic Plan written in 2000. The Chairman and the Clerk spoke to bring Mr Jay up-to-date. The Cookham Plan has been reviewed by the Parish Council with the exception of Housing and Development report which needs more work and must integrate with the Village Design Statement and also the Townscape Assessment being done by RBWM. The Traffic and Transport section of the Cookham Plan has been fully reviewed and published. The outstanding sections: Business and the Economy; People and Places; and Environment and Land had been recently reviewed and a statement will be available to the public at our Annual Parish Meeting on 24th March 2009.
Mr Jay then asked what would happen after these plans were finished. The Clerk said that the Council would be formulating a list of smaller projects that the Council would progress and possibly seek funding from SEEDA. It is hoped that this list would be available for the 24th March meeting.
Mr Richard Copas spoke about Pln Appn 09/00204. He spoke of the history of Copas Farms in the Cookham area and that they would like the condition restricted on their sales and storage kiosk to enable them to sell produce from other local farms in the area. Ideally they were looking to purchase goods from within a radius of thirty miles. The selling time would be from April to September only and they would hope for the Council’s support in this. The Chairman thanked everyone for their comments and asked permission from the Council to move Pln Appn 09/00203 and 09/00204 to the front of the agenda. 1. APOLOGIES AND DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST: Apologies were received from Cllrs Barnes; Piercey and Fry.
