Minutes of a Meeting of the PLANNING COMMITTEE held at the

Community Room on Tuesday, 19th January 2010 commencing at 7.30 pm

OPEN FORUM – The members of the public were attending to observe the meeting.

 

1.                  APOLOGIES AND DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST: Apologies were received from Cllr Barnes and Cllr John Stretton who was on business at the Town Hall.

Cllrs Jean Stretton; M. Brar; D. Ricardo and M. Wellman declared a personal interest in Pln Appn 09/0273.

Cookham Parish Council would like to see 106 monies go towards safety improvements on The Causeway – the emergency route in to Cookham Village during times of flooding. The Parish Council would like to be kept informed of exactly how the 106 money is used for this application.

NO OBJECTION – Conditions:

·        Conservation Officer approves the walls.

·        Surface water in car park does not run in to the main sewer.

·        Main building should remain a public house.

·        Waste bins are not visible from any direction

·        The Crown make their own arrangements to protect guests during emergency flooding.

·        Extractor fans are approved by Conservation Officer and not visible.

·        Thermal efficiency statement is provided.

3. CHAIRMAN’S SUBMISSONS: The Clerk spoke to remind the Cookham Rise Councillors of a meeting with Tom Denniford to discuss aspects of the Village Design Statement in Cookham Rise. This will take place on Monday 25th January in the Parish Office at 6pm. The Chairman announced that the “e-planning” session was very informative and that paper plans will continue to be used until June. Paul Blisset from RBWM is very happy to visit the Parish Council to give a presentation on how to read plans on computer. Cllr Brar said that she had received complaints about the amount of dog mess in the Alfred Major Recreation Ground.

 

The meeting closed at 8.20pm.
