Minutes of a Meeting of the PLANNING COMMITTEE held at the

Community Room on Tuesday, 17th  June 2003 commencing at 7.40pm.

In Attendance: Cllr D. Ricardo (RBWM), Jane Griffiths (Maidenhead Advertiser) and 1 member of the public.

 

Apologies for absence were received from Cllrs Brar, Coker, Garrard and Harris.

 

Declarations of interest were received from Cllr J. Stretton on planning applications 03/40255 and 03/40256. He left the room and took no part in the discussion or vote.

Contrary to Policy F1 - Cookham Parish Council will continue to object to development in the Flood Plain until a firm notice of guidance has been received from RBWM as to whether we should be following the Local Plan or the Environment Agency map. Despite the flood relief works, this property would have flooded in January 2003 due to the water rising from below the ground.

Vote: IN FAVOUR = 7, AGAINST = 2.

OTHER MATTERS:

 

The Chairman spoke briefly about the email received by the Clerk from Thames Water. There will be a public open session in the WI Village Hall in Cookham Dean where villagers will have a chance to meet the project team constructing the new sewer system. The first session had already been held but Cllr Fairlie and Cllr Piercey said they would attend the second session and report back to the Parish Council.

 

Cllr Prichard said he would attend the RBWM Panel meeting and would speak against the development of Apple Orchard, Appn No: 03/40086 and Land at 124 and to the rear of 16, 118, 120, 122 and 126 Whyteladyes Lane, Appn No: 02/39264.

 

The meeting closed at 8.15pm.
