FORUM
– Mr Hull spoke in support of Appn No: 04/41804 for 3, Lea View
Cottages. He said that he and his partner had shown the plans to the
neighbours who all seemed quite happy. Mr Geoffrey Copas then spoke in
support of Appn No: 04/41832 – Construction of a new ‘Pick Your Own’
sales and storage building. He read out a section from his Farming
Strategy document and confirmed that this application is part of his plan
to increase sales. He wished to provide toilet facilities and shelter for
customers and a more secure building where the equipment could be left
over night. He then spoke at length about building in the Green Belt at
which the Chairman reminded Mr Copas that the Councillors are aware of
Green Belt development policies.

APOLOGIES AND DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST: Apologies were
received from Cllrs: P.
Brockwell, A. Hay and J. Stretton. Declarations of interest were received
from Cllr Prichard who declared a personal interest in Appn No: 04/41823.
Cllr Harris declared a prejudicial interest in Appn No: 04/41832. He left
the room for this part of the meeting. Cllrs M. Brar and D. Ricardo
declared an interest in the Planning agenda as they were both Borough
Councillors. They took part in the meeting but did not vote.

MINUTES AND MATTERS ARISING: The Minutes of the
Planning Meeting held on 6th April were circulated and duly
approved with two amendments. On Page 850, Open Forum, item 1, line 3,
Cllr Ricardo said that the resurfacing of Dean Lane would be unlikely to
take place until next year because the guarantee had expired. On Page 852,
Minutes and Matters arising, last line, Cllr Coker said that the correct
plural spelling for “attentennaes” was “antennaes”! The Minutes of
the Planning Meeting held on 20th April were circulated and
approved with no amendments.

Meeting closed at 8.15pm.
