Title: Defibrillator for Scouts Available to Book
Post by: Cookham Webmaster on July 22, 2016, 11:20:47 AM
As a result of a generous donation from the Cookham Christmas Society, Cookham Scouts has purchased a defibrillator for use as part of first aid provision at local public community and charity and voluntary organisation events.  To book or obtain further information please contact: Mark on 07990 730219 or mark.hook@btinternet.com. Donations welcome to cover on-going training and maintenance.

What an excellent idea.  When not in use, could it be placed in a shop perhaps with the shop staff trained in its use?  Just as an idea, because wouldn't it be terrible if someone were to need it and it was close at hand but behind a locked door?

Latest machines do not require traning. They talk you through what to do and will not shock unless needed.

I am still trying to get my head round the idea of booking up for the need to use a defibrillator.

Anyway, at the moment it is in Swansea.
