Title: Poundfield
Post by: monty on October 05, 2017, 02:52:28 PM
I may have got this wrong but in the Advertiser it says someone wants to build a 4 bedroom house on Poundfield.  Why can't people leave this piece of land to be an open space for people to walk and sit. Why do we have to keep fighting these people who want to build things on there

Unfortunately Monty you are correct. The application is for a house to be built in one of the gardens. The link to the application is on the Save Poundfield website and Facebook page for people to object but here it is again:

http://publicaccess.rbwm.gov.uk/online-applications/simpleSearchResults.do?action=firstPage

Objections must be submitted by 25th October to: Planning.maidenhead@rbwm.gov.uk quoting reference 17/02973

The answer has to be a resounding "NO." As this would be the thin end of the wedge, and others would then refile. So climb and object soundly to RBWM planning Maidenhead.

I have written to RBWM Planning Maidehead. Here is the text of what I have said:

The answer to this application has to be a flat "NO". Due to the fact that if granted, it would lead to other planning applications taking place.

James Hatch

Are these the same people that had 'save the pound filed sign up' and are now wanting to build a house themselves ?

OMG, please tell me that's not true? If it is, then what is the world coming to?

There were several houses on Poundfield displaying Save Poundfield banners. I assure you that the majority of residents on this Lane and the surrounding roads DO NOT support further development in this location!

So make sure you register your objection to RBWM Maidenhead Planning. It is no good sitting and complaining, you have to flood the Planning Officer with your notice of objection. Yes Monty, I too, would like to see it returned into a village park.

There are actually about 20 objections if you look closely (some were uploaded as one batch). The application has been called into the Development Control Panel for debate in the same way the other Poundfield applications were so peoples submissions as before will actually be accepted right up to the day of the Panel hearing which I don't think has been decided yet.

Apparently this was approved at the local council meeting, does anyone know anymore?

I think you are mistaken Monty. MJ Saunders asked for this application to be called in the the RBWM planning committee and there isn't a date yet for this. I believe Greythatch on Terrys Lane was approved so maybe you are thinking of that one?

Tudor rose I have not made any comment apart from saying it would be nice to 'get on and sort out the sitting area' I think you got me mixed up with someone else.
