Title: Regeneration of Maidenhead on Radio Berkshire
Post by: Cookham Webmaster on January 16, 2018, 12:41:32 PM
From the Maidenhead Heritage Centre)

We encourage you to tune in to the Breakfast Show (7am to 10am) on BBC Radio Berkshire this coming Thursday 18 January, when the future of the Heritage Centre and the regeneration of Maidenhead will be discussed in between the news, the traffic and the music.   Even more important are two days of 'consultation' exhibition on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 January about the Borough's plans for the York Road area, which promise to deliver a "stunning new cultural quarter" but have little or no reference to the Heritage Centre or long anticipated improvements to the Desborough Theatre.  The exhibition will be in an empty shop unit in the Nicholsonís Centre (10am-5pm both days) and you will be asked to leave your comments on the proposals.  Please please do so, making the case for a bigger better Heritage Centre as part of the redevelopment.  If you can't get along, you can see artists impressions by going to https://www.rbdevelopmentpartnership.co.uk/
