Was told last week there was to be a Police speed check set up on Lower Road / Dean Lane due to the number of cars exceeding 30/40 mph limit and a couple of very near misses with horses. Have not seen them yet - anyone heard anything?

Horses got a mention; is this anything to do with the nasty accident that occurred a while ago? The horse was OK I think, but the rider ended up pretty bashed up from what I heard.
