We now move to the classroom next door, in which some 81 years ago Mrs. Snapes ruled with a sharp tongue and a glare that would freeze you to the spot where you stood. Yes, I too where one of her  "Horrid little Grubs".

In the 30's and 40's there were only the three class rooms at Holy Trinity School. We now visit the 3rd class, which was the Infants classroom, under the loving guidance of Mrs. Evans and Miss Collins.

Yes, come the 1st of August, Historical Cookham will be 10 years old, and by that date it will be very close to 333,000 visits. To celebrate we look at a William Bailey photo of over 100 years old.

A lot has been mentioned over past few years about the state of the streams, brooks and tributaries feeding into the River Thames. I can remember back when the then Thames Conservancy kept the river banks, footpaths and feeders in pristean  condition.

Not many people in the three Cookham's today will remember Lord James Meston or what he was famous for. Well you all will know of  The Pinder Hall, Well it was the 1st Baron Meston who opened it in March 1936. It was noted in the Maidenhead Advertiser on the 1st of April 1936.

I am now going back to my earliest memories and gradually work through the years and those I grew up with. I guess I was a bit of an escape artist right from the start as you will find out in this clip.
