The Cookham Festival kicks off tomorrow (6 May) when the Sculpture Garden at the Odney Club in Cookham Village opens to the public.  Worth a visit just to walk round the fabulous riverside grounds and some great (and small!) sculpture on show too.  Tickets are selling fast for the Festival which opens in full today week when the People's Shakespeare put on their performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream.  If you haven't got tickets to it you're too late: it's sold out for two of the three performances with, at the last count, just a few left for the Sunday evening performance (15th May).  But there are tickets at the Stationery Depot in Cookham Rise for most of the events happening between 12th and 22nd May - jazz, classical music, comedy, plays, talks, exhibitions.  Full programme at www.cookhamfestival.co.uk.  It's a great community celebration: make sure you're part of it.
