Now after you ladies have taken those Kyack lessons I have thought of something that you could take the family on an adventure of discovery. After the war I fell heir to a canoe of the Kyack type and use to explore this water way. You park your car on the moor parking area and put your Kyack in at the Fleet. You then paddle under the bridge and follow the strem to the Strand and continue on to Widbrook follow it all the way to the river at the Islet. Then paddle back up the Thames to the Ferry. Walk up to the moor, pick up your car and then back to load up your Kyacks. A great adventure for  the children. You may have to battle a few rushes on the way, so take your camera so that you can show Thames Water how blocked that stream has become and to have it cleared up for your pleasure but, to ease the flood problem.
