I believe this was installed to monitor traffic speeds, to access the impact that cars leaving the track next to the Railway Crossing would have, if the proposed Development of 9--4 Bedroom houses on land adjacent to Hedsordene goes ahead.

What ever the outcome of this monitoring, even if it is related to this development, it won't stop them building the houses. There is no single issue now that is great enough to stop a planning inspector rubber stamping developments. If the local plannners refuse, the appeal inspectors say yes. It is just a formality now to build as you please, Look on Google Earth to see where in Cookham there is green space and from the 2006-7 map they list, lots has gone...mainly to Mr Shanly...
