I am curious to know why that on both postings by the establishment hosting the event it has been necessary to emphasise the option to wine and dine with them. Could it be that they need the business?

Is it being suggested that the Discussion forum shouldn't be used to promote local business but its OK to express political views?

I have never said anything of the sort regarding political views. I was merely making an observation. If you take a look at the discussion board I would guess 99% of the posts have nothing to do with promoting a business. There are plenty of other areas on the website for that; here are just a few. What’s on in Cookham – Classified Ads – Latest News – Bits and Bobs – What’s New.
