WE HAVE HAD A DISTRACTION BURGLARY IN WINDSOR:

2/8  Tuesday 2.20 p.m.  Kentons Lane.  DISTRACTION BURGLARY  An elderly aggrieved was sitting at home, when they heard a knock on the living room window.  They looked up and saw a man standing there, who was signalled to go to the back door.  He was asked if he was ‘John’ who was supposed to be coming round to do some plumbing work.  He responded ‘Yes’ and was invited inside.  He was shown the water tank which needed fixing and he said it would cost £250.  She handed over some cash and another man appeared in the room.  The second man asked the owner to go into the kitchen with him, to see where the radiators were situated.  A few minutes later, the first man emerged from the living room and both men left.  The owner then found a bag containing a large amount of cash had been stolen.  PLEASE REMEMBER – NO-ONE COMES INTO YOUR HOME UNLESS YOU KNOW THEM, OR THEY HAVE MADE AN APPOINTMENT !
