What ever happened to the Cookham Design Statement?

Noticed that 'Hunts mans Cottage' has been pulled down up by the church in Cookham Dean, and being replaced by one of those horrid 'Ascot looking Homes'....

We need the Parish Cllrs to fight to make Cookham a conservation area, and prevent such properties from being pulled down and being redeveloped with properties that do not fit in with the surrounding area.... slowly, slowly 'The Cookhams' are being eroded at every opportunity - that in the future, people will be looking back in the 'historical books' and wondering what the hell happened.

We need a strong design statement, strong Cllrs to ensure sympathetic development to our village and in keeping with our village.

We are not part or Maidenhead, nor Bournend and I doubt we want to be looking like Ascot either?
