Only starting a new thread because I can't find the right old one - apologies.

Anyway, it would appear that clearance work has started, just thought other interested parties might like to know.

For sale boards have gone up at the entrance to Strande Lane and by the chicken farm gates.  All the mess is still there though, and so is the green netting across the footpath.

Footpaths are a right of way! Make sure that it does not get lost in the sale. Right now that netting should have been removed. As a matter of fact it should not have been there in the first place.

We know that James, try telling the chicken farmer that. You have no idea the mess that field is in, he ignored all the enforcement notices. Huh

Much as I hate to say it, the green netting was allowable as part of the fencing.  It's just that now a good portion of it is across the footpath.

Just musing ....

Perhaps it's the local "gentleman farmer" ( Grin ... spoken with tongue in cheek, of course!)
looking to hoover up all the land around the parish in preparation for the future demand for land for house building!
Flood plain would be the least of the worries ... easily overcome with pylons, stilts etc., a la Oakfield in Maidenhead.
If Dudley and his cohorts get re-elected next May, then it's going to be a free-for-all on land-grabbing...

You heard it here first!

Its a bit worrying as to what will happen in that field when eventually sold after the fiasco with the other bloke.
