The Police & Crime Commissioner, Anthony Stansfeld has announced the Police Property Act Funding Stream for bids:

Police Property Act Fund

The Police Property Act Fund has been launched with £100,000 funding available to voluntary and community groups, contributing towards two of the PCC’s Police and Crime Plan strategic objectives – Reducing Re-offending and Serious Organised Crime and Terrorism. Closing date is 12pm on Monday 17 July. More information is available on the PCC website www.thamesvalley-pcc.gov.uk.

Please put a bid in - the forms are very simple.  If you don’t enter - you cannot win.  Community Groups will include Carers Groups, Community Groups, Residents / Tenants Associations.  Be imaginative !

BISHAM, COOKHAM, HURLEY, THE WALTHAMS, LITTLEWICK GREEN & KNOWL HILL:
15/6  Friday 6 p.m.  Bridge Avenue, Cookham.  A witness saw a man climbing over a fence into a building site and called the police.  The police attended immediately and removed the man who could not give an adequate explanation for being there.  He was arrested upon suspicion of burglary.
17/6  Sunday 10 p.m.  Station, Station Hill, Cookham.  A witness saw a group of youths vandalise a motorbike.
15/6 - 16/6  Friday 8 p.m. / Saturday 5 a.m.  Bisham Court, Bisham.  Blue, Toyota Auris, index OY ** ARX stolen from outside a house.  If your car is ‘keyless’, you must not keep the key anywhere near your front door if you live on the side of the road. The signal can be copied, if the car is being stolen to order.  Lots of people keep them, in the fridge or Microwave !  Thieves have a gadget which sends out a signal to which your key responds.  They then copy that signal and are able to unlock your car !  If you are parking in public car parks, you must keep the key in tone of those small metal credit card cases, to prevent it being copied.
