I wonder what the purpose of this message is? Sure, we know that thieves exist and these are the types of items they may target. However, there is no advice given by the TVP about how to avoid such thefts. This post serves only to make me more fearful with out any positive message. I do not find this helpful. What do others think?

How to solve the shopping list for thieves problem

. I only have one credit card, I think it is probably up to itís limit. Who carries money around nowadays?
. My mobile phone has a cracked screen
. I donít have an MP3 player, what are they?
. I shop online
. I donít have a sat nav, I just get lost
. I got my lap stop second hand from eBay, I just play games on it. Any self respecting thief would not be seen dead playing the games I play.
. I donít have a leather wallet, just a cheap plastic one I got in a bran tub.
. I am sad and lonely so do not give presents and do not get any back.

Oh dear. How sad. This is not the Archimedes Principle I learned at school. More buoyancy needed I think!

If a laptop with personnel details (as opposed to personAL details) is stolen you need to report it to the ICO within 72 hours under GDPR.

However, for Archimedes there is some good news because you need not get lost without a sat nav.

Steve Backshall can teach you to read a map. See https://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/blog/2015/08/new-map-reading-videos-with-steve-backshall/
