I have now discovered this new posting by the Webmaster, I will now concentrate all new postings to this spot instead of the general Discussions Board. So I now kick off the new listing with my most recent post on my Great Grandmother Merina Hatch.

I am starting to reclaim old postings from bygone history. This photo is from Holy Trinity School of 1898.

I have not heard from anyone as yet. The challenge is now to the children and grand children of those I went to school with, to dig up old and new photos of their parents and grandparents. Here are some surnames that were at Holy Trinity when I was there.
Carter, Brown, Redway, Wooten, Hodges, Stone, Taylor, Kelsey, Brewer, Thomas, Weinberger, Smith, Lewendon, Lovejoy, Hutton, Smith, There was of course a great many Hatch's who were all interrelated back through the years. Yes we did have one Malcolm Weinberger from Maidenhead Court whose family wanted their son to broaden his mind in the Christian faith.

So come on folks start digging in those old family albums!

Once again I am going back over family sections that may have been lost recently. This part covers part of Eastgate at the east end of the village high street:

The tale is about six minutes long so turn up your sound.
