A total of 10 areas of Berkshire have coronavirus infection rates above 1,600 per 100,000, according to the latest figures.

Infection rates are worked out by how many positive cases there are per 100,000 of the population in each area of Berkshire.

The Berkshire area with the highest infection rate in that time frame was Spital & Cranbourne Park in Windsor, reporting 2,117.1 cases per 100,000.

A Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead area also has the second-highest rate in Berkshire, with Clewer Village reporting an infection rate of 2,006.0.

Old Windsor & Wraysbury is the third biggest Covid hotspot, with an infection rate of 1,925.4.

The Covid hotspots in Berkshire

The following areas in Berkshire have an infection rate above 1,600 cases per 100,000 people:

Windsor and Maidenhead: Spital & Cranbourne Park - 2,117.1 (153 cases)
Windsor and Maidenhead: Clewer Village - 2,006.0 (148 cases)
Windsor and Maidenhead: Old Windsor & Wraysbury - 1,925.4 (162 cases)
Wokingham: Spencers Wood & Swallowfield - 1,815.2 (167 cases)
Windsor and Maidenhead: South Ascot & Sunningdale - 1,810.5 (198 cases)
Wokingham: Barkham & Woose Hill - 1,756.7 (120 cases)
Windsor and Maidenhead: Cox Green - 1,681.1 (153 cases)
Wokingham: Wokingham East - 1,670.9 (150 cases)
Windsor and Maidenhead: Clewer New Town - 1,669.2 (152 cases)
Windsor and Maidenhead: Ascot & North Ascot East - 1,663.5 (124 cases)

The Windsor and Maidenhead borough has the most neighbourhoods with the highest infection rates in the county.

Meanwhile, the neighbourhood with the lowest infection rate in Berkshire is Wexham Lea in Slough, which reported a rate of 524.3.

Other areas that recorded the lowest rates include Baylis & Stoke in Slough andStoke Road & Wexham Road, also in Slough.
