i visited the village of Cookham twice over the last week in search of evidence of my families past. My great grandfather Thomas Chaplin Hills was the village Butchr until 1909 when he met a sudden death from the hoof of a horse. the Butcher's shop is now a wine shop. It was nice to experience the area talk to locals and find a possible Lane named after the family Hills Lane. I will return to NZ this week satisfied with what I have found but need to continue looking through records where the old chap was buried in Cookham. Good luck to you all in Cookham.

I lived with my family in Cookham from 1960 until 1985 (with a couple of stints away)and still miss it. I do still visit from time to time, as I'm not that far away. My sister Sarah lives in Arlesford and my brother Nick lives in Tadley. My parents Derek and Betty are also in Tadley.

I used to be very involved in the pantomime, the Tarrystone Players and in particular Joan Boddy's singing and accordion groups.

I'd love to hear from anyone who still remembers me.

Started life in Cookham a longgggggg time ago have happy memories, is the nursery school still on the corner, The old hotel that creaked and groaned as you ran along the passage ways that went up steps and down steps so many different levels. Would love to visit but! may be some time

I lived at Ford Cottage, Cookham Rise from May of 1959 until April of 1962. Worked at Hedsor House.
I do miss Cookham and all of the fine people that I knew
