THE KING RETURNS TO SHAAHS – 9th June
2010
Elvis
is dead, long live the King - in Cookham! Diners
at Shaahs restaurant in Cookham are in for a royal treat on 9th
June, when Elvis is jetting in once again to perform a live show. Well,
actually it's the great Elvis tribute Scott, and he'll be driving from
Kent but Scott's rendition of Elvis's golden oldies is so authentic,
diners will be able to close their eyes and imagine they're listening to
the King himself- without having to go all the way to Las Vegas (or travel
beyond the grave). Since
opening last year, Shaahs has created quite a stir on the culinary scene.
With a growing reputation for fine Indian dining in sophisticated and
atmospheric surroundings, the restaurant's special brand of gourmet food
that originated in the courts of the Moghul Emperors, is now tantalising
the tastebuds of diners in Cookham and beyond. The
Elvis night comes as part of owner Mr Shah's programme of exciting
evenings that will take place at the restaurant throughout the year. "Elvis
Presley was such an iconic performer and most people have a place in
hearts for his music,"says Mr Shah, "I wanted to recreate some
of that magic within my restaurant. The combination of Elvis's music and
with Shaahs food will guarantee an unforgettable dining experience." With
a quiff to end all quiffs, swivelling hips and a melting baritone, Scott's
Elvis will perform a full repertoire of Elvis's hits including Love Me
Tender, Hound Dog and Are You Lonesome Tonight? Shaahs'
Big Hunk of Love costs only £25 including 3 course dinner and after
feasting to their hearts content, no doubt There’ll Be a Little Less
Conversation when diners can pull on their Blue Suede Shoes, get on the
dance floor and work off some of their sumptuous meal, down At the Hop. |
