Dennis Palmer, photographer extraordinaire, also had an exhibition of his photographs in the Exhibition Marquee. The one above was taken at the request of the organisers of the Cookham Millennium Pageant to portray the meaning of the celebrations. It was a picture of the oldest and youngest person in Cookham. | ||

Timmy Mallet was one of the exhibitors in the Exhibition Marquee with a painting he did of Cookham Bridge during its renovations. | ||

An enormous amount of work had been put in behind the scenes. The sound systems consisted of four PA systems scattered across Marsh Meadow and the Moor, so everyone could hear what was going on. | ||

||
The parking needed to be organised and this was done by the Cookham Youth Project who also handed out pledges from the shopkeepers of Cookham who were offering special deals to anyone who visited their shops. | ||
|
||
In the Food and Drink Zone in addition to the food and drink there was also the Tarrystone's Human Fruit Machine, a great source of amusement, particularly to those who had been spending their time in the Kaffirs' Beer and Pimms' tent. | ||
|
||
The Cookham Folk Dance Club were out in force and not onl;y demonstrated some of the dances that they do, but encouraged everyone to join in as well. | ||
