Crime:
10 January 2011
Caroline
visited someone in White Waltham this week to carry out a house Burglary
survey. He happened to mention that he had just received a visit from a ‘Nottingham
Knocker’. He felt sorry for the poor lad and purchased products
he had already just bought at a supermarket. He handed over a £10 Note..
you know how this works – he as a normal resident had never heard about
them before. They are still about and we need to spread the message. If
people buy from them – they will continue to visit us.
BIKE MARKING – LYCRAAAAH:
We are still not receiving many completed forms back from you. If you have
them sitting somewhere please complete them asap and get them back to Ken.
As you will see below, we are still suffering from shed breaks in Ascot
and bikes are being targeted. I have attached the LYCRAAAAH form again if
you have misplaced it. I can send you the bike marking strips and will
have them with me next Wednesday. Forms should be returned to ken.revell@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk
Digital photos in jpeg format (please) in a separate word
document attached to the email. So far we have had 14 different variations
(and counting) of this simple process !!!
Finally, due to the financial cuts being made at the Home Office,
they have stopped providing all leaflets and more importantly NHW window
stickers. Fortunately we still have a little money left from our SAFE
AS HOUSES initiative. Caroline and I will be placing an order and
hope to have them available shortly.
I have been asked by PCSO Liz Davidson It appears in our rural areas, road
signs have been going missing – these are immediately being replaced by
the Highways Authority. Drains and gully covers are also going missing.
Please can you keep your eyes open and keep the PEC number to hand to
report anything suspicious. A Clipper truck with a white cabin and blue
sides may be involved. Eyes and ears please.
