Crime:
17 February 2011
There was an incident in Sunninghill on
Tuesday and it shows what we can do – when we have an idea planted in
our minds !
15/2 Tuesday 2.20 p.m.
Coronation Road. The owner heard a loud noise and went to investigate. He
went outside to see a member of the public chasing a man away from his
property. The man had been seen to throw something at the property. Both
gave chase and the Owner thought about the camera on his phone !!!! JUST
IN CASE !
He videoed the offender running away and we hope that it may give us some
additional identification assistance. Well done to both for quick thinking
– and especially to the member of the public who originally disturbed
the offender and gave chase.
I have begun to receive pictures of suspicious incidents to the intel
line:
ringmasterintelligen@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk
We are really grateful, keep them coming. Think especially about people
walking up and down neighbours / your driveway, callers such as Nottingham
Knockers and any other ‘sales’ people at the door. We are being
plagued with scrap vans driving up and down streets on an almost daily
basis. After an incident everyone says they were definitely suspicious –
but – no-one had thought to report them to the police !!!
Just a request for assistance. We had some money over after ‘Safe as
Houses’ and are gradually spending it on good ideas we receive from the
public as well as our neighbourhood Teams – there is not a lot left !
One thing I have been asked for, is for some football kit. Most
Neighbourhoods work with kids by way of youth diversion. Football leagues
/ 5 a side, is something they are willing to join and enthusiastic about.
I have some money, but some ‘match funding’ or ‘Sponsorship’ would
be really appreciated and add community value to the project. I am not
asking for thousands – a few hundred would really help. We need a
‘Home’ and ‘Away’ kit for 12 players ! As part of this I am going
to the local schools to see if – as part of their A level course work,
they can design the strip for us – we will be working with the press all
the way through the process !!!!!! If you cannot supply sponsorship are
you part of a club and know a supplier ? Any help / thoughts to me please
